Michael Brennand-Wood is pleased to announce the accompanying artist catalogue to his current solo exhibition at the Williamson Art Gallery & Museum, ‘The Encirclement Of Space’.
Featuring texts by Michael, as well as the independent writer and curator June Hill, the catalogue traces the influence of lace on his work over the last five decades. It is the perfect companion to this timely exhibition, or a fascinating insight on its own.
‘The Encirclement Of Space’ at the Williamson Art Gallery & Museum continues until 18 March 2023 and charts the influence of lace on Michael Brennand-Wood’s work from the earliest examples made as a student in the 1970s to his most recent commission, ‘Return to Origin-Musical Chairs’. The exhibition contains the largest collection of his lace works ever shown together, representing all stages of his lace research.
