Namadgi Nation - The Meeting
In 2013 I spent a month in an isolated cottage in the Namadgi National Park, in the south-west of the Australian Capital Territory.
In 2014 the exhibition, Elements of Place, Craft ACT, Canberra opened. All of the works were made in the UK and based on my experiences in the park.
The works are completely different to anything I have made before or since; they could not have materialized without the residency in Namadgi. They describe my sense and wonderment at finding myself in another world both literally and imaginatively.
