Stripped 2017
The hazel wood had been in my studio for perhaps 17 years, the residue from a project with the National Trust. I was interested in creating a lattice formed from natural as opposed to machined timber. There’s a clear reference back to my earlier mesh works, the difference is in the feel of the work, which has a strong organic quality.
